I’m so torn between 725 and 423 and I wish I could get some good advice. Some folk say top loader is more reliable and others say side loader gives better stitching…. Help?! Also I think I want sturdy so is 423 better because of full metal body? I’m used to vertical thread holder. Helpppppppp 😅
725 top loader has been good enough for me. Also have the 740dc...does a beautiful buttonhole and is digital.

I got my little Janome about 3 years ago. I always refer back to this video to remind me how to thread it all properly. I live full-time in a camper so space is important and this little machine fits perfectly in one of my cubbies. I love the simplicity of it yet all the different stitches it can do. Thank you this is a perfect tutorial.

It's a good job but if you used an overlock and a coverstitch or at least a twin needle, you wouldn't have to worry about stretching the fabric while you sew it. Also sewing the neck band after you sew the shoulder seams would be easier. Trust me I have made at least 100 tees. But your video is great and very informative and you are drop dead adorable 😊

How do you adjust the stitch length?
Depends on which machine but as I show in this video, its by turning the dial through the relevant letters

OMG! Thank you so much for that cord way!!! My fabric was always ripping with the safety pin or the thread way!! BIG TIP! : USE SATIN RIBBON INSTEAD OF CORD FOR MORE ROUGH FABRICS! Works everytime!

Yes because you loose the space yhat was in that bust dart into the new style line (seam)

But how do you sew a button hole for a button that is bigger than what will fit in the buttonhole foot? Mine is an inch and a half.
That's a very good question. I would say it's all about tricking that thing that you pull down that stops when it hits the end of the button hole bit

No....I dont think so. There is a sewing machine repair shop near Shepherd's Bush Green, on the road that leads to Hammersmith but not sure it will be financially worth while for this machine.

Thank you! My mini not work... No bottom sewing thread grip. The top sewing thread does not loop and gets stuck on the studs. All the details are good and installed correctly.😭😭🔥
If you have done everything the same as the video then maybe something is wrong with the machine

I am disappointed with this machine. I have one for 10 years. Its a waste of money and time
Some people do seem to like them but I found it frustrating that mine seemed to stretch the stretch out of the bias

Just watched your video. What measurements do you need to cut the fabric. l mean which parts of the body do you measure?Thanks.
I thought I explained how you devide that in the video....it's acros elbow to elbow or wrist to wrist, depending on how wide you want it then length, shoulder to but double it so as to include the back. Hope that helps
